• ‘Perfect Place for a Quilt Shop’ - We drove by the empty 1920’s cornerstone everyday, and everyday I said, “perfect place for a quilt shop” - 1 1/2 years later The Quilted Garden opened it’s doors. This program includes my story plus an extensive trunk show. Being frequently asked ~ how my nursing career made a successful leap into quilting, how I got into designing and becoming an ambassador, how I got published, etc., prompted this interactive program. I openly share my journey, the ups and downs, the struggles and successes - how quilting is empowering and adds years to our lives.

• ‘All Arounds’ - My first ‘viral’ quilt design - ‘Trees all Around’ - prompted a whole series of scalloped edge and machine appli-quilted projects. This workshop tackles raw edge fusible applique with machine quilting and bias binding along with oodles of tips and tricks, and the ins and outs in creating scallops with success. My appli-quilting process is not only fun, it is quick and satisfying.

• ‘That’s a Sweatshirt?’ - We start with an oversized sweatshirt, deconstruct, embellish the sections, reconstruct and ‘tailor’ a new fit. The final finish includes fun closure options - bound buttonholes anyone?! A great workshop that uses up stash or a pretty fabric collection that’s been waiting for the perfect project.

• ‘Organic Quilting’ - I grew up gardening with my mom in our huge backyard spaces in Iowa. This workshop uses innate creativity inside all of us to grow (applique) our own flowers on fabric. Organic quilting starts with a rough/raw idea - drawn directly on fabric and grows from there ~ organically. We also explore dimensional options along the way. This process is taught for either/both hand and machine lovers.

FAQs~

“How much are your Programs and Workshops?” ~ My fees are comparable. I charge separate flat fees per program and workshop regardless of attendance. Bundle and save 🤗.

“How much are your Classes?” ~ Classes are generally priced per student and dependent upon the project and time required.

“Do you require kits?” ~ Yes! Most of my workshops and classes have an additional fee for the kit.

“Do I have to buy the kit for class?” ~ Yes! This way I am sure YOU have everything needed for the class, the right fabrics, adhesives, products. No one wants to be unprepared - kits prevent this! I will always include an additional supply list for any items needed from your sewing basket.

“How do you get ‘here’?” ~ I live near Greenville, SC, so I either fly out of GSP or drive - this just depends on where you are.

“What are your travel requirements?” ~ ‘You’ are responsible for my travel costs. If I drive, the cost is $.60 per mile. SWA is my airline of choice with a car rental if needed. Lodging in a reputable hotel. I take full responsibility for all of my meals.

“Do you require a deposit?” ~ Yes. Once a date and program are selected, you will receive a contract to validate and sign. A $100 deposit locks your spot. Deposit is non-refundable unless I should need to cancel.

“How far out do I need to book?” ~ Sooner than later! I only book one event per month, so contact me today to lock in your date.
